The competition program is placed on a crossing of two streets, Miramarska and Bednjanska. It is a point of colliding two urban city concepts: north part with classical city blocks of the Zagreb's lower city enclosed by the railway and the south part primarily along the Vukovarska Street, outlined with modernistic dominant character of mostly public and social buildings. Concept of awarded project stems from forming a unified structure that will reconcile the surrounding urban matrix and meet the program requirements. Solution with two interacting volumes, the tower with 20 floors and the lower part of the 5 floors, united the planned goals and achieve high quality relations with the neighbouring buildings........more

The building we are proposing assumes natural, scenic and historical positions. Thus, preservation of existing vegetation and the vicinity of flooded soils and the geological conditions specific to coastal alluvial land, the flatness of the surrounding geography, the long views that are brought to soar, the orchard with the Duero, which accompanies, etc. are ingredients of the project as a quick reference of which we are privileged members and observers. In the city, many projects such as continuous overhead of railroad crossing and urban road authorized in city plan to eliminate railroad crossing for expanding the traffic facilitation are proceeding.
In around Shimokitazawa which both projects are proceeding together or each other, the effective and active way for the old railroad crossing site which going to be under the ground is required.

And at the same time, the destruction of the original city structure of Shimokitazawa by urban road authorized in city plan crossing the existing city is also came up as problem.........more
