The creation of the new centre of contemporary and media art in Vilnius is part of a feasibility study undertaken by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and The State Hermitage Museum. It will be a critical element of the cultural life of the city; complementing the existing programmes Vilnius has recently developed for contemporary art.
